ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Diasporanomics Ltd is committed to making www.diasporanomics.com (the "Site") accessible and usable for everyone, including disabled people. We want all visitors to be able to read our work, use the Money Across Borders Simulator and get in touch with us, whatever their abilities or the technology they use.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility. This also supports our duties under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people can use our services.

The Site has not yet been through a formal independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim full conformance. We will update this statement if that changes.

What we do to keep the Site accessible

• Set the language of each page so that screen readers pronounce content correctly.

• Use a clear heading structure on each page.

• Add alternative text to meaningful images.

• Choose text and background colours that give enough contrast to read comfortably.

• Aim to make the Site usable with a keyboard and with common assistive technology such as screen readers (see the known limitation below for the simulator).

• Use the Wix accessibility checker to identify and fix accessibility issues on the Site.

Known limitations

Some parts of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. In particular:

• The Money Across Borders Simulator is an interactive tool that is currently difficult to use with a keyboard alone. This may also affect people who use screen readers or other assistive technology that relies on keyboard navigation. We are looking at how to improve this. If you cannot use the simulator, please contact us and we will help, for example by running scenarios for you and sending you the results in a format that works for you.

• Third-party content, such as embedded videos, social media links and content hosted by other organisations, is outside our control. We cannot guarantee it meets accessibility standards.

• Older documents and reports, such as PDFs, may not be fully accessible. If you need any of them in another format, please ask us.

We are working to fix these limitations and would welcome your help in prioritising them.

 

Alternative formats

If you cannot access any content on the Site, we will try to provide it in a format that works for you, such as a plain text or large print document. Please tell us what you need and we will do our best to provide it within 10 working days.
